Issues facing Utah - Private Property Rights

Private property is one of the hallmarks of a free society. Government should exercise great discretion when exercising eminent domain to take a person' s property. Eminent domain should never be used for economic development. A recent decision by the U.S Supreme Court to allow a person' s home to be condemned for the purpose of economic development was a bad decision. That kind of property confiscation should never be allowed to occur in Utah.
