It has been a great privilege to be associated with Brad Daw over these past many years. He has an engaging personality and is anxious to be of help to all. We have been neighbors, close associates in ecclesiastical responsibilities, fellow campaign workers, and in recent years in a constituent-representative relationship. In each of these enjoyable associations, I have always been impressed with his honesty and his forthright approach. He is admired as a neighbor for his helpfulness, resourcefulness, and involvement in constantly improving the quality of life for all in the area. Brad’s commitment and leadership in church related activities is evidenced by the contributions to youth programs and outstanding efforts in nurturing and strengthening the spiritual ties in the community. He is a tireless worker in the Republican Party to build principled based platforms and to support outstanding men and women for offices within the county, state, and nation. His service in the Utah State Legislature has been marked by hard work, conscientiousness, a commitment to constituents and the public at large, with a keen desire to remain true to principles. As a trained public administrator, I find Brad to be an outstanding legislator and one we as constituents can be proud of, and I strongly encourage my fellow neighbors to support him in the upcoming election.
Respectfully,

Brad Daw is a man of integrity, courage and strength. He has consistently fought
to make Utah safer with his fight against prescription fraud
and addiction, strengthening Utah in many ways and through
his work with the Patrick Henry Caucus has worked hard to
protect Utah against the ever encroaching federal government.
He has always been responsive when approached and helpful
in every way. I am more than pleased to publicly endorse Brad
Daw as our Legislative District 60 Representative. He has
my vote.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know and work with Rep. Brad Daw over the last 2 years. I have found him to be well versed on the issues that concern the citizens of both Orem and the state of Utah. Brad is enthusiastic about his role as our representative, and when presented with a concern, he has no fear of getting down to work to solve a problem. His efforts as our representative have resulted in real change for our state,
not the illusionary "hope and change" one sees in political figures these days.
As an example, several weeks ago I had a conversation with Brad about my concerns regarding the amount of Utah County taxpayer funds going to provide medical care for the inmates at the Utah County jail.
Considering the amount of press devoted to the national health care debate and process, not many are aware that once an inmate enters the jail, we taxpayers were having to foot the entire bill for their medical expenses, less a small co-pay. Meanwhile, an inmate's friends and family can put money on their jail account allowing them to purchase
snacks and other non-essential items. Within days of our conversation, Brad and I were working with the legislature staff, drafting proposed changes to state law allowing the jail to be reimbursed for an inmate's medical costs. House Bill 110 passed with only one dissenting vote, and was signed by the Governor on March 30th. This is the start of what I hope to be an ongoing process of reforming this area of the Utah correctional environment.
Additionally, as a former ER nurse, I appreciate Brad's efforts in the areas of prescription drug abuse education, and changes to the controlled substance database. His work will have real results in tracking prescription drug abuse and informing prescribing physicians when their patients are abusing these medications. This is a significant achievement.
I heartily endorse Brad in the upcoming race for District 60 Representative
and look forward to working with him in the future.

I started sending Representative Brad Daw emails during graduate
school in 2006. I found him quick to reply to concerns and
very open to discussion. In 2008, I started working more closely
with Brad as he joined our drug prevention coalition - SMART
Utah County. Immediate Brad became a key player by propelling
our group forward with the goal of preventing prescription
drug abuse in Utah.
What I liked about working with Brad is he makes himself
available. Brad is one who reads and quickly responds to an
email or phone calls. This accessibility to a lawmaker is
indeed rare and something I greatly appreciate. Brad is also
a great listener and takes time to meet with all sides of
the issue in crafting thoughtful, productive legislation aimed
at the causes of a problem (in our case he crafted legislation
addressing the causes of prescription drug abuse). I saw Brad
meet with the medical association, multiple government agencies,
community groups, and other who have an invested interest
in his legislation. After listening to all sides, he crafted
thoughtful, productive legislation. In the end, his hard work
paid off as he passed three bills that will reduce prescription
drug abuse in Utah - Brad has a record of getting things done!
Brad is a leader in the legislature on many issues, I appreciate
Brad's willingness and ability to work with both sides of
the isle - I have seen him do this first hand and believe
this is an important skill to be an effective legislator.
We need Brad back on Capitol Hill representing District 60.
I whole heartedly endorse him as a candidate and look forward
to working with him in the future.
Sincerely,
Kye Nordfelt Utah County Department of Health
I have known Brad Daw for just short of two years and found him to be an effective gladiator for the people of Utah, fighting for their well being and safety. Brad and I serve on the S.M.A.R.T. Utah County coalition to reduce prescription narcotic drug abuse and alcohol related crashes. As chairman of that committee I have had the pleasure of working with him on bills that will help doctors in the state understand the power of the prescriptions they write. As a physician, I feel he is also not just "holding our feet to the fire", but helping us do our job more effectively. Two of the bills he has sponsored and gotten passed help doctors by informing them when a patient gets in trouble with their health or with the law, making me and doctors like me, more effective health care providers. He is able to see many facets of any given problem and forge solutions that help all involved, not just one special interest. I will vote for him at re-election time and encourage all I know to do likewise.
Sincerely,
Donald J. Fairbanks, M.D.
I am pleased to endorse Representative Brad Daw for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives. Representative Daw has been a constant advocate for public safety and particularly for protection of children against predators who use the Internet and other technologies to sexually exploit children. He has written and sponsored legislation that was subsequently passed by the Utah Legislature and provides the tools for Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators to quickly locate and identify those who are creating and distributing illegal child pornography and who are seeking children for sexual encounters. Representative Daw has helped carefully balance constitutional rights of all citizens with the narrowly-tailored laws that allow us to be the nation's leading Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

I urge reelection of Representative Brad Daw. I've had the pleasure to work closely with Representative Daw for several years as he has been a champion of ensuring that Utah has the right tools to keep families safe from the scourges of child sexual exploitation and child pornography. Never before has it been so important to have legislative allies in the constant battle to keep sexual predators from reaching our children. Representative Daw knows the right questions to ask and principles to follow when tailoring the law to allow maximum investigative effectiveness with minimum impact on personal privacy.
Brad Daw is a fighter. When concerns were raised regarding vital legislation sponsored by Representative Daw, he didn't back down. He showed that he understood the issues, grasped the urgency and that he had carefully weighed all of the privacy concerns. Then he made sure that his fellow legislators understood and passed his legislation by an overwhelming majority. In my nearly 30 years of public service, I've known many public servants. Brad Daw stands among the leaders of his community. I am proud to serve with him.

Brad Daw is a champion of consumer and private health care solutions. He understands the importance of solving our health system challenges on a state level rather than an undesired federal option. Brad helped launch the idea of defined-contribution health plans which I think will revolutionize the way health insurance is purchased in the state of Utah. I appreciate his support of consumer driven health plans like health savings accounts and business-friendly solutions like the Utah Health Exchange. Representative Daw has proven to be an integral and effective leader. I support him in his strong legislative work to improve our health system and find solutions to control cost.
